The Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) was formed in 1978 to protect the rights, and promote the interests of Vietnam-era veterans. In 1986, in recognition of its ongoing commitment to veterans, VVA has the singular distinction as the only Vietnam-era veteran’s organization to be granted a congressional charter. There are several local VVA chapters in Montana

The Bitterroot Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) held an organizational meeting in Hamilton, Montana in November 2003, was chartered in January 2004, held it’s first monthly meeting in February 2004 and now in 2012 has about 200 members.

Our only purpose is Veterans helping Veterans. Veterans often need assistance with problems and issues and many have similar stories. The Bitterroot Chapter of the VVA is your organization to provide the opportunity to obtain and share information, to organize grass root activities, lend a helping hand, and offer assistance to all veterans.

Also, through the National VVA organization the local chapter supplies input to state and federal government legislators on issues important to veterans.

VVA Bitterroot Chapter 938 Meets on the first wednesday of each month at 7pm at the Eagles Lodge, 125 North 2nd Street, in the back room.

To make half a kilo of honey, bees must collect nectar from over 2 million individual flowers
